They say that you are being clever in wanting to change the world, but you become wiser if you make that change begin with yourself. In the Celebration of World Water Day last March 22, 2017, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Occidental Mindoro- MAPSA Area conducted Waterways Clean-up at Brgy. Cuatro, Mamburao.

The objective of the celebration is to give emphasis on the importance of freshwater to mankind, but beyond giving and disseminating information is an endeavour of making the people take part in the experience of the movement in conserving our water resources and maximizing the use of wastewater.

To attain this, the World Water Day celebration was participated by other agencies including the Municipal Government of Mamburao, Philippine Statistics Authority, and most especially, the officials and residents of Brgy. Cuatro, Mamburao.

The event, as I could say has not just imparted a thought or an idea, but most especially, portrayed partnership between agencies and the community as an essential formula in obtaining awareness combined with action.
